| Rehabilitation |
|
All treatments consist of a combination
of the following tailored to your specific
needs. |
| Manipulation: |
| The
restoration of movement to the joints
by applying a thrust in a specific
way to free up that stiff segment.
This may be done using the hands,
a mechanism on the bench or a hand-held
device. |
|
| Soft
tissue work: |
| Release
of knotted and tender muscles through
stretching, deep tissue massage,
Active & Passive release techniques
and dry-needling |
|
| Dry-Needling: |
| Is
performed using accupuncture needles,
and is a very effective way of dealing
with knotted tight muscles. It works
by inhibiting pain and is a useful
tool for treating chronic knots
especially in Fibromyalgia. |
|
| Rehabilitation: |
| Is
crucial for your long-term benefit.
Without this aspect of care you
will slowly regress to how you were
before the problem occurred, rehab
and manipulation, soft-tissue work
etc has been shown to be far more
effective than manipulation alone.
If you currently don’t receive
rehab you are not getting the best
care. |
